Our experiments with weather data in Second Life continue, this time we have a couple of global maps in our space on Second Nature Island displaying temperature, rainfall, wind speed, barometric pressure and humidity round the world.
The global data is updated every 15 minutes with the data for the UK on the local map updated every 10 seconds, allowing the 3d visualisation to morph between values.
If you have Second Life installed you can visit us by clicking here – you will get a red arrow pointing skywards, simply fly up to our section of Second Nature island.
You can download Second Life from here.
Thanks go to the guys at MesoMap for kindly letting us use the data.
