Daden Ltd has devised a way to serve a geo.rss feed from Second Life and with it the ability to construct your own Google Maps/Google Earth locations directly within the virtual environment.
Its a good idea that has been well implemented – take a look at the movie below for a walk through:

The model is as impressive as ever with the Virtual Earth system, if Virtual Earth was made a stand alone application for Mac and Pc then Google Earth would have a run for its money.
We are getting used to using the helicopter background sound effect and the soundtrack by Denny fits the flightpath to such an extent that it would be nice to have a plugin that automatically played music/helicopter sounds while navigating in Virtual or Google Earth.
