The name is Plasboo (http://www.plasboo.com), a collaborative Web 2.0 service to keep in touch with own favorite places.

In Plasboo (PLAces Social BOOkmarking) you can:
– INSERT all the places you like (restaurants, bars, parks, beaches, clubs, monuments, etc … every place that you want!)
– SHARE places with friends (you can also invite all your Facebook’s friends)
– Create a list of your favorite places (called Placemark)
– SEARCH new unfamiliar places
– Much more 🙂

VGI – I just don’t get it. Any database, or system built on a database, is only as good as the data that underpins it? Like many things ‘web 2.0’ I’m sure VGI does have potential, but it also seems to have massive hype.
