Community driven it is similar in many ways to sites such as <span>Digg</span> and <span>Reddit</span>. A while ago we put up a post entitled <a href="http://digitalurban.blogspot.com/2007/05/to-digg-or-not-to-digg.html">To <span>Digg</span> or Not to <span>Digg</span></a> coming to the conclusion that <span>geospatial</span> and <span>architectural</span> posts were not really suited to such services.</p>
<p><span>BlinkGeo</span> had however changed all that and despite running for little under a month has become one of a <span>favorites</span> places to browse all the happening&#8217;s in the <span>geospatial</span> community with topics ranging from Google Earth to <span>ArcScene</span>, GPS and general CAD.</p>
<p><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ADwvfqkxChw/Rrw2oFo4pUI/AAAAAAAAAjA/qJ4fZkUE05Y/s1600-h/Blink.jpg"><img decoding="async" style="margin: 0pt 0pt 10px 10px; float: right; cursor: pointer;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ADwvfqkxChw/Rrw2oFo4pUI/AAAAAAAAAjA/qJ4fZkUE05Y/s200/Blink.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5097008940612887874" border="0" /></a>The site has its own community mascot &#8216;Blink&#8217; pictured right who is now included in the footer of all our posts.</p>
<p>The process is simple, if you like a post on this blog or any other where you see &#8216;blink&#8217; then click to assign the post a vote. The more community driven votes a post receives the more it <span>exposure</span> it will get.</p>
<p>So although we decided not to <span>digg</span>, we do intend to <a href="http://www.blinkgeo.com/">blink</a>&#8230;</p>
