Following the success of the inaugural Digital Geography in a Web 2.0 World event, held on 20th February 2008, Barbican, London, NCeSS have asked us back for a re-run and are kindly hosting the second event at the Urbis Museum in Manchester on 15th September 2008.

We will be giving a talk on the latest research with a look at developments in the geoweb over the last few years – best of all its free. If your around Manchester way this coming Monday its well worth coming along…

‘Digital Urbanites – Dr. Andrew Hudson-Smith and his team of Digital Urbanites from the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis at UCL will be showcasing their unique cityscape virtualisation project – this time it’s London’s turn, with thoughts and information on how to visualise anything relating to the city in packages ranging from Second Life through to 3D Max and onwards to game engines such as Crysis.
