As regular readers will know we have a bit of a ‘thing’ with timelapses, they provide an excellent way to capture the life of the cityscape over time. As such the movie below is of particular interest.
Entitled ‘Spacelapse’ the movie takes a 24hour timelapse sequence of a group of shops and splits up the scene by adjusting the time for each shop. By speeding up and slowing down each shops speed of timelapse the viewer has an opportunity to see the street as a series of components each with its own time according to its use.
The movie has been shown internationally and on British terrestrial networks, take a look at Dr Chris Speed’s site for more on the timelapse and some other really neat projects…
